In November 2003, five years after the Asian Monetary crisis, our CEO Mr.Ishimi attended the ceremony to sign a contract with Amata Nakorn industrial estate for the purchase of land. The location is adjacent to the motorway between Bangkok and Chonburi, 57km east of Bangkok. The objective of acquiring the land was to reinforce production capacity and realize the aim of "Made in TG" in accordance with our production strategy.
So far, we have promoted our overseas production mainly for hardware. But now we have judged that we are at the stage of shifting development of products and evaluation of their endurance out of Japan. Our CEO Mr.Ishimi mentions that in order to develop our business, we should not observe things in terms of the present time, but from the future in order to adapt to change in the business environment. This is a key point for TG in becoming a world enterprise. This factory has been named Asia Center due to its central role under the new slogan "World Biz From Asia." Following completion of construction in February 2005 and a three-month period of trial operations, this site started full operation in June 2005. Although presently this center runs only at approximately one-third of operational capacity, through successful implementation of "production according to the material," a critical aspect in further increasing efficiency, we plan to have all types of plastic products now made in Japan and Rayong manufactured at this plant.
