We established TAIYO GIKEN AMERICA INC. (TGA) in Orange County, California, in December 1997. The company is located near Disneyland, Universal Studios, the Anaheim Angels' baseball stadium, and Las Vegas.
Thirty years ago, the United States of America was a dream for a young Mr. Ishimi. It was different from Southeast Asia and Europe, which he had already visited. Upon his graduation, young Ishimi decided to leave for the USA to see what there was to discover. He was fortunate, getting a scholarship to study business administration there. His experience there had a major influence on his current management style.
There he met Mr.Kanji Nanjo, current General Manger of TGA. Without him, TGA would never have been realized. Together with Mr.Nanjo, he traveled around by air and car to market our products day and night, a hard schedule that remains nostalgic to him still. In marketing, he has never relied on Japanese customers. He started from scratch in challenging major companies, and his efforts bore fruit five years after the company's establishment. TGA finally moved into the black in 2002, and has stayed there so far.
