TAIYO GIKEN KOGYO Co., Ltd. (TGJ) was established under five corporate principles on June 14, 1966 as a manufacturer of LPG gas valves. The founder of TGJ successfully led the company to its target of becoming the No.1 company in Japan. Three years after the company's establishment, the opportunity came to grow rapidly through production of industrial machines and fuel cocks for two-wheeled vehicles. We accepted orders from customers, even difficult orders, complied with any request, and finally obtained our customers' trust. Sine then hereafter, we have gradually received more orders from major Japanese customers.
Due to these synergistic effects, we have expanded the market share of gas
valves and grabbed the No.1 share in Japanese market, just 25 years after our establishment. We beat out other manufacturers in developing fuse gas valves, which then came to be very popular. They have contributed to a decrease in gas leak-caused accidents and have been evaluated by official organizations. In April 1995, we were awarded "Director-General of the Science and Technology Agency Prize."
Under our slogan "Small but Global", we started to challenge to the world market from 1996 in order to meet the changes of the times. Our current domestic centers are situated at four locations. The head office is located at Nagoya International Center Building, Nakamura Ward, Nagoya. The Gifu plant, our original main factory, is located in Kamo-gun, Gifu Prefecture. Our Domestic Distribution Center is in Komaki City, Aichi Prefecture. The Import and Export Distribution Center is at Tenpaku Ward, Nagoya.
