Taiyo Giken (Thailand) Co.,Ltd.(TGT) is the second overseas center we established, after the company's center in China. Immediately after its establishment, we were faced with serious Asian monetary crisis. At the grand opening of TGT in October 1997, CEO Mr.Ishimi mentioned that it would take five years for the national economy to recover and that during this period we should concentrate on our export business, taking the drop in sales of parts as a favorable chance. Immediately, he decided to acquire land nearby and construct a factory there. Since then, TGT has expanded remarkably along with the recovery of Thailand's economy, moving into the black in 2000 and continuously increasing for the five years since then. Our management unanimously declared it a miracle for the TG group.
This site started operations the company's third factory in 2003. At the time, market demand had been multiplying, and the company's current factories well running and full capacity. Based on this success, construction of a new factory will be completed in April 2008. At the new factory, the operation of which will be based on "facilitating flow" in operations to achieve high-quality and smoothly functioning lines, personnel are amply incorporating TG's advanced technology and the spirit of manufacturing cultivated over the company's long history. The half-dome shaped entrance, running waterfall, art gallery, and other features that are very unusual in a factory environment are a reflection of CEO Ishimi's penchant for building "factories that don't look like factories." To be sure, this site that is so fitting for talk of the future is destined to the new "face" of TG.
